A quick and easy snack for all ages - Potato ball fry

 Ingredients

  • 4 medium size potatoes
  • 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder, 
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 3/4 tablespoon chilly powder
  • a pinch of Asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Besan flour
  • 1 table spoon corn flour
  • Oil for frying

Recipe

1)Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them

2)To this add all the ingredients and mix well

3)Make small balls out of it




4)Keep oil for frying and once its hot, dip the potato balls in the oil



5)Keep in simmer for sometime and once it turns brown take it out and place on a dry tissue to remove excess oil



6)Once the oil is drained, serve hot with either sauce or mint chutney


Note:

1)Add chilly powder as required. If you want it to be spicy you can add more. If kids are going to consume its better to add lesser quantity

2)Ensure that the oil is very hot before frying else the balls will break

3)This is one of the quickest snack that can be prepared with available ingredients at home. All generations will love it

4)The above said quantity made around 22 balls
